ComFit Learning has taken every reasonable measure to safeguard the privacy of individual subscribers and individuals who are members of groups in the schools and other organizations that license our program.
What follows is a brief summary of our privacy policies:
Complicance with FERPA. ComFit Learning is in compliance with the The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law that applies to all schools receiving funding from applicable programs of the U.S. Department of Education. Our complicance ensures that student activity gathered on the ComFit Learning Online Center will not be viewable by anyone other than the student, school officials, and a limited number of ComFit Learning employees who understand the ruling and have signed a confidentiality agreement.
Registration information required. The only information we require of you when you register as part of a group that has purchased a site license is the following:
- Your first and last name
- Your group code number
- Your user ID and Password
- An email address
- Your group code number
Test drive information. If you are registering for a test drive, you are asked (but are not required) to indicate why you are interested in the program. We use this information solely for our own purposes and do not share it with anyone.
Credit Card transactions. Our credit card transactions are handled by First Data, one of the world's largest and most trusted providers of technology-related informational commerce. Information we collect automatically Like most instructional websites, we use cookies to collect certain information. This information includes site activity, the name of Web browser, the computer operating system, and the IP address you use to connect to our site. None of this information is shared with anyone other than authorized administrators in your group.
Age requirement. No one under the age of 13 is permitted to take out a subscription to the Comfit Online Learning Center without the consent of a parent or guardian. This requirement does not apply to schools and academic support organizations that have the required parental consent to order instructional materials. Email address policy We will not share your email address or any other personal information collected on our website with any third party, except in the event that our business is sold or merged with another company that has contractually agreed to honor the terms of this privacy policy.
